Pure Ceylon Green Tea combined Peppermint leaves. Traditional to the Greater Maghreb region (the northwest African countries of Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, and Mauritania). It has since spread throughout North Africa, parts of the Sahel, France and the Arab world. Central to social life in the Maghreb. The serving can take a ceremonial form, especially when prepared for a guest.
Ingredients
Zesta Peppermint Tea – 50 ml
Gin – 50ml
Passion Fruit Puree or Syrup – 25ml
Passion fruit – 1 Fresh Fruit
Steps to Make It
Options:
1) 500ml of boiled water and 10 teaspoons of Moroccan Mint tea leaves
2) 1000ml (1 Litre) of boiled water and 20 teaspoons of Moroccan Mint tea leaves
Method:
Put the tea leaves into the pot. Poor 100°C boiled water into the pot with tea leaves. Close the pot and let it brew for 3 minutes, stir once in between. Strain the tea leaves. Store the brewed tea in an airtight glass bottle. Let the temperature of brewed tea drop down to room temperature and then refrigerate (8-12C). Recommended to be used within 3-5 days.
